> Harraby 5 - 2 Kendal Wattsfield (Sunday 13th December 2010)
Harraby came out on top in this encounter which was played on a 3G surface in Penrith,
following the effects of recent weather in Cumbria. Harraby started well, but failed
to make the most of two clear scoring chances early on and it took a hopeful cross,
just after half an hour, to evade everyone and creep in at the far post, to give them
the lead. Kendal Wattsfield settled and fought back well; in the ten minutes leading
up to half time, creating five good opportunities to score, unfortunately without hitting the net.
KW continued to press and were rewarded early in the second half when Vicky Jones' powerful free kick hit the bar; Joanne Thompson reacted first and headed into the Harraby net. Harraby quickly regained the lead a couple of minutes later with a header from a well taken corner. Both teams played good passing and attacking football, but it was Harraby who took their chances, scoring two more well worked goals in the following fifteen minutes.
KW never gave up and with six minutes to go, Joanne Thompson took the initiative again in a goalmouth scramble with an excellent strike past the Harraby keeper, to make it 4 - 2. However, Harraby had the final say with a last minute goal to give the home side a 5 - 2 victory and continue their unbeaten run.
